The Nyakach Community Resource Center (CRC)

The Nyakach Community Resource Center (CRC) is a newly established community development hub located in the Nyakach Sub-County of Kisumu County, Kenya. Officially launched in August 2025 through a partnership between the CIVS Kenya and local community to serve as a "one-stop shop" aimed at boosting community self-reliance, food security, and digital access
Key Features and Services
Climate-Smart Agriculture & Agribusiness: The facility features a training center and a model farm with greenhouses. It equips local farmers, youth, and people with disabilities with practical skills in climate-resilient farming to improve food production and household income. 
Digital and ICT Hub: Supported by the government's Jitume Digital Enablement Programme, the resource center operates as a digital hub to offer local youth essential ICT training, digital literacy, and avenues for online employment.
Volunteer & Workcamp Programs: The center hosts local and international volunteers who stay on-site to assist with community development projects, mentoring, and agricultural training
Community Space: The Nyakach Community Resource Center (CRC) incorporates a dedicated Community Meeting Space, which serves as a central gathering point for local residents, farmers' groups, and civic organizations. This space is designed to foster community cohesion, host educational workshops, and facilitate local decision-making.
