Youth Empowerment Program

Ahero Resource Center offers a comprehensive integrated program that combines ICT training, work readiness, supporting over 2000 participants in the past years training in cohorts with the primary objective of promoting Inclusive Market Oriented Employability, Digital and Business skills for Youth and PWDs in the Community. The movement is also replicated at the Awach, Awasi, and Nyakach Resource Centers.

ICT training equips participants with practical computer literacy skills in an increasingly digital world, including word processing, email etiquette, and internet research. This prepares them to navigate the technology-driven world and enhances their employability in various industries.

Additionally, the program focuses on work readiness, teaching essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management. Participants gain confidence in handling real-world work environments and interacting with colleagues and employers. The program also includes life skills training that is practical in nature, covering financial literacy, decision-making, stress management, and goal setting besides career choice and development. Our model is enriched with regular participation in community service activities for mutual benefit in enhancing the community development agenda.

These skills contribute to personal growth, well-being, and a healthy work-life balance. By investing in these programs, society becomes more inclusive and equitable, offering opportunities for personal and professional development. Empowering young people and PWDs with essential ICT, work readiness, and life skills enables them to thrive in the digital age and make meaningful contributions to society.
