Early Childhood Education Program

Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) plays a vital role in a child’s early years of development. A good ECDE Foundation promotes the positive transition of a child to the following stages of development and learning.
  • Two inclusive ECDE centers at Ahero, and Awasi offer free, safe spaces for over 200 children, including orphans and vulnerable individuals. Supervised by qualified teachers, the program helps retain children who might otherwise drop out due to economic and societal challenges. The secure environment promotes social behavior, physical health, creativity, and overall growth, enhancing cognitive, social, and emotional well-being skills.CIVS Kenya initiated a feeding program at Ahero Resource Center, providing daytime meals to the school-going orphans and vulnerable children. The program improves well-being, school performance, food security, boosting enrollment, reducing absenteeism, and household food security.
